Vintage Intimate Wedding Wanaka

A curated selection of Wanaka and Queenstown wedding vendors have come together to create all the luxuries of a big wedding, and just an intimate group of loved ones. With smaller weddings becoming more and more popular, we wanted to showcase how using local vendors within the region. We created a beautiful and more sustainable event. The advantages are endless. From locally grown florals, renting a dress from a top local designer, add up cycled vintage props to the best local knowledge. Think secret off-site photos locations, seasonal weather advice and world-renowned cuisine – the list goes on. 

Basing our inspiration around the red velvet chaise lounge. We brought together reds and oranges and a vintage theme for our intimate Wanaka wedding. This follows through in hair, makeup and attire. Vintage glam with a few stand out accessories to top it off.  

The cozy cottage backdrop matches perfectly with the handmade wooden furniture. The vintage-inspired props, with a modern twist – a triangle arch dressed with local flora. The perfect spot for an intimate ceremony, guided by a fun and relatable celebrant who can put together a ceremony that reflects the couple.

To create a relaxed vibe we went with a grazing table. Perfect for sharing with intimate wedding guests, and minimal waste. We opted for a 4WD adventure for a location that takes your breath away with a few vintage furs to keep you cozy amidst the mountain tops. Some celebratory bubbles and views for days. Having a smaller wedding doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the epic photos with a photographer and a photo booth who keep everyone entertained and capture the essence of the day.
