Georgia & Todd’s Lake Hāwea Station wedding at The Hide was a festival-inspired celebration under a sailcloth marquee. It was a stunning day filled with love, mountains, and later, a night of dancing to the Sweet Mix Kids. This was all set in one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking locations.
In fact, Georgia & Todd’s Lake Hāwea Station wedding at The Hide was the perfect expression of their festival-inspired vision. Beneath a sweeping sailcloth marquee from Gather & Gold, their day unfolded against the dramatic backdrop of Lake Hāwea’s mountains. A ceremony on the lakefront. A setting that’s hard to beat.
Moreover, the inspiration for the day came directly from their time at Burning Man. Georgia & Todd wanted their wedding to feel like a celebration of community, colour, and music. With vibrant florals by Arrowtown Flower Company, seamless coordination by Tregold Weddings, and a feast from Artisan Catering, every detail came together to create a celebration that felt both stylish yet playful.
As the sun went down, the festival theme truly came alive under the disco balls. Sweet Mix Kids took the stage alongside a live saxophonist, and together they transformed the tipi into a dance floor that kept the party going well into the night. Ultimately, it was the perfect reflection of the couple’s story — fun, vibrant, and deeply connected to the people and places they love.
