The lovely Lizzie + Mick flew over from Australia to wed upon the magical Isobel Glacier for their elopement. February brought a strong weather game, which made this helicopter ride a trip to remember. The clear blue skies and snow about the glacier; some mountain mood in the distance, brought a scene like no other for this Wanaka heli wedding.
Mick’s parents Anne-Marie and Aaron joined Lizzie + Michael for this experience of a life time. They stayed at the gorgeous Halladay Road Straw bale cottage, which is where Lizzie spent the morning prepping. The lovely Deidre completed this already-stunning lass’s look into nothing but class and style. And not to mention Lizzie charisma and hilarious sense of humor. Mick wore the most amazing green velvet suit jacket, which we all couldn’t stop admiring!
From the Isobel Glacier elopement, we flew to the next stop – Coromandel Peak. Rain a few days earlier bought emerald blue lakes and rich golden grass amongst the peak. We watched private planes fly over head followed by Anne Marie and Aarons Heli to return back to the Wanaka hanger.
It was time to crack open some craft beers by the lake and interact with some of the local dogs of Wanaka out on their daily walks, soak in some sun and snack on some beautiful food crafted by our local grazing platter genius, before heading back to the straw bale for some private catered dining to complete this gorgeous Wanaka elopement.
These guys made the day all about them- just how it should be and what a fabulous day it was. Thanks so much for having me along to capture your day. Two people deserving of only the best life ahead. Cheers guys!

“This moment you have been many things to one another – acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, even teacher, for you have learned much from one another these past few years. Shortly you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.
For after today you shall say to the world –
This is my husband. This is my wife.”
